NFL Kills the Pro Bowl Games: No Game, No Flag, No Skills — Just 88 Names

The NFL announced August 26 it is ending the Pro Bowl Games after a decade of format overhauls — tackle, flag, fantasy draft, skills comps. Starting with the 2026 season, the league will name 88 Pro Bowlers in late December with no on-field event of any kind. Honorees will be celebrated at the Super Bowl site in Los Angeles in February.
