Smithsonian and Andy Warhol Museum honour Dolly Parton

The Smithsonian Institution and the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh have honoured Dolly Parton, recognising a four-decade connection to Warhol. The Andy Warhol Museum states Parton appeared in Warhol's "People" portfolio alongside Mick Jagger and Grace Jones, and that Warhol painted her portrait. Interview magazine republished its July 1984 Warhol-Parton conversation, labelled "in memoriam."
