Dollywood to stay open after Dolly Parton's death, citing her wish
Dollywood confirmed it will remain open following founder Dolly Parton's death at age 80 on Aug. 25 after a brief cancer battle. The Tennessee park, closed Tuesday as previously scheduled, greeted guests again on Aug. 26. Dollywood's statement said Parton's heartfelt wish was that the park "always remain a place of joy, hope and togetherness," adding "the show must go on."
