Algee Smith cast as Warren G in Universal's Snoop Dogg biopic 'Snoop'

Algee Smith will play Warren G in Universal's Snoop Dogg biopic "Snoop," The Hollywood Reporter reports. The casting completes the core ensemble: Jonathan Daviss as Snoop, Myles Bullock as Dr. Dre, Camron Jones as Tupac Shakur, Lauren London as Snoop's mother. Craig Brewer directs; production starts mid-September in Los Angeles. Universal has set a 2027 release.
