SoundCloud Takes Zero Commission on Direct Track Sales — Its Second Commission Cut in Under a Year

SoundCloud launched a direct-purchase beta on August 26, letting roughly 200 US Artist Pro creators sell downloadable tracks from their profiles at zero commission, according to Music Business Worldwide. This follows SoundCloud scrapping the revenue share on its distribution service in November 2025. Artists receive sale proceeds less fees and taxes. Access widens to all eligible creators later this autumn.
