Almodóvar's 'Bitter Christmas' to Close 37th AFI Latin American Film Festival

Pedro Almodóvar's "Bitter Christmas" will close the 37th AFI Latin American Film Festival on October 7 at the AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring, Maryland. The comedy-drama follows two filmmakers confronting creative drought and reunites Almodóvar with Argentine actor Leonardo Sbaraglia. The festival runs September 16 through October 7, presenting 43 films from 21 countries (Variety, 26 August 2026).
