Werro runs three of history's ten fastest 800m times in one season
Switzerland's Audrey Werro, 22, has run three of the ten fastest women's 800m performances of all time in 2026. Her 1:53.80 at June's Meeting de Paris ranks third all-time, 0.52 seconds off Jarmila Kratochvilova's 1:53.28 world record from 1983 — the oldest outdoor world record in athletics. Werro says she is not chasing the record this year, but believes it will fall.
