Pittsburgh's 27-year-old Star Wars Pepsi vending machine vanishes, replaced by decoy

A Star Wars-themed Pepsi machine installed on Mt. Washington in Pittsburgh for the 1999 release of The Phantom Menace has gone missing after more than 27 years, per GameSpot. A decoy with hand-drawn artwork and 10 buttons — the original had nine — now stands in its place. No party has claimed responsibility. The original remained stocked and lit with no known maintainer.
