Studiocanal copyright settlement clears Netflix's 'How to Kill Your Family'
Studiocanal sued author Bella Mackie in 2025 alleging her novel infringed the 1949 Ealing comedy 'Kind Hearts and Coronets' — both stories about relatives murdered in sequence. The case settled that year on undisclosed terms. Netflix's eight-episode adaptation, produced by Sid Gentle with Anya Taylor-Joy and Clive Owen, now moves forward. No premiere date is set.
