Weerasethakul's Four Features Restored in 4K, Set for Venice Launch via The Match Factory

Four Apichatpong Weerasethakul features — "Blissfully Yours," "Tropical Malady," "Syndromes and a Century," and Palme d'Or winner "Uncle Boonmee" — have been 4K-restored under the filmmaker's supervision. The Match Factory, which already represents three later Weerasethakul titles, acquired international sales rights excluding North America, the U.K., Ireland, Japan, Switzerland and Thailand. A formal launch is planned at Venice. Variety reported on 26 August 2026.
