NetEase reportedly removes gacha from open-world RPG Ananta
NetEase has reportedly removed gacha — the randomised, lottery-style pulls used to unlock characters — from Ananta, a free-to-play open-world RPG from developer Naked Rain, according to Eurogamer. Gacha systems are standard in free-to-play Asian titles. Ananta launches worldwide on 15 January 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5 and mobile, with over 17 million pre-registrations. The removal is unconfirmed at launch.
