Ex-BBC News CEO Turness joins Independent Talent Group to lead new studio division

Deborah Turness, most recently CEO of BBC News and Current Affairs, has joined Independent Talent Group as president of Independent Talent Studio, a new division building original media brands and IP across platforms. Turness previously led NBC News and ITN. No financial terms, slate or timeline were disclosed. Sally Long Innes is CEO; Duncan Heath is founder-chairman. (Variety, 26 August 2026)
