Pearce+ completes six-metre wildlife tower from reclaimed farm materials at Honeygar Farm, Somerset

Architecture studio Pearce+ has completed Wildlife Tower 01, a six-metre-tall habitat at Honeygar Farm in Somerset, built almost entirely from materials reclaimed on-site. Masonry piers form the flood-resistant base; timber and corrugated metal rise above. Designed for Somerset Wildlife Trust, it houses bats, owls, kestrels, invertebrates and wetland species within one structure. Founding director Owen Pearce said the aim was "to create long-term wildlife infrastructure for as many different species as possible."
