Albanese intervened to save Dolly Parton's 2011 Australian tour after her bus was ruled too big for the roads
Dolly Parton's 2011 Better Day tour — promoted by Michael Chugg and her first Australian tour in decades — nearly collapsed when her bus was deemed too long and wide for Australian roads. Then-federal Transport Minister Anthony Albanese approved the bus, allowing the 12-show national trek to proceed. Parton died in Nashville on 25 August, aged 80.
