Iowa AG Bird Declares Supreme Court Action Against California Over Paramount–Warner Bros. Merger Challenge

Iowa AG Brenna Bird announced via a Daily Wire op-ed that she is suing California at the U.S. Supreme Court over its challenge to the proposed $110 billion Paramount–Warner Bros. Discovery merger. Bird argues the Constitution requires state-versus-state disputes to be heard directly by the Supreme Court. No legal paperwork has been confirmed filed. California AG Rob Bonta and 11 other AGs sued to block the deal in July 2026 after the DOJ cleared it.
