Leeds win at Forest again — twice in three days after 54-year drought

Leeds beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 in the Carabao Cup second round on 25 August 2026, their second win at the City Ground in three days. Before the weekend, Leeds had not won there since 1972. Dan James and a Neco Williams own goal sent Leeds through. Forest manager Oliver Glasner said he is not a "magician" and cannot deliver European competition within six weeks.
