Fernandes wins PFA Player of the Year after record-assist season

Bruno Fernandes has been named PFA Player of the Year for 2025-26, the first Manchester United winner since Wayne Rooney in 2009-10. The Portuguese midfielder set a Premier League single-season record with 21 assists, surpassing Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. He also scored nine league goals as United finished third under Michael Carrick. The award is voted for by fellow professionals.
