Russell Simmons to use recovered Celsius shares to pay $11M+ in unpaid settlements to six women

Billboard reported on 25 August 2026 that Russell Simmons is recovering a portion of nearly 10 million Celsius energy drink shares seized by the DOJ in the 1MDB fraud case. Simmons pledged to use the recovered stock first to pay over $11 million in past-due settlements to six women who accused him of sexual assault, including four who accused him of rape. Simmons denies all wrongdoing. The exact share percentage recovered was not disclosed.
