Universal, Sony and Warner invest in Stability AI's $76M Series B round

Universal, Sony and Warner Music Group joined Stability AI's USD $76 million Series B round, the AI company announced on 25 August 2026. UMG and Warner had prior strategic partnerships with Stability AI; Sony's participation is newly public. The same three majors are pursuing copyright litigation against AI music platforms over unauthorised training data. The raise brings Stability AI's total funding under CEO Prem Akkaraju to USD $232 million.
