Neon Splits Efira and Okamoto Into Separate Oscar Categories for 'All of a Sudden'

Neon will campaign Virginie Efira for best actress and Tao Okamoto for best supporting actress in the Oscar race for "All of a Sudden," The Hollywood Reporter reported on 25 August 2026. Efira and Okamoto shared Cannes' best actress prize in May; Okamoto was the first Japanese actress to win it. The category split lets voters recognise both without choosing. Neon releases the film in the US on 25 November 2026.
