Amazon Dropped Completed $40M Guadagnino Film 'Artificial' After Investing in OpenAI; Neon Acquired After Netflix, A24, Focus Passed
Amazon MGM Studios dropped the completed, roughly $40 million Guadagnino film "Artificial" in June, months after announcing a major investment in OpenAI, saying it would be "better served if released by a different studio," Variety reported. Netflix, A24 and Focus Features all passed; Neon then acquired worldwide theatrical rights — worldwide, all territories. No release date is set.
