Thatgamecompany launches publishing arm Thatgamepublisher for indie developers

Thatgamecompany, the studio behind Journey and Sky: Children of the Light, announced a publishing arm called Thatgamepublisher on 25 August 2026. Co-founder Jenova Chen said a "couple" of games are already signed, with no titles disclosed. Chen said the focus is games exploring "new emotional frontiers," noting that successful indie teams with surplus cash naturally invest in other developers.
