Northamptonshire extend Broad to 2030 despite season-ending back injury

Northamptonshire have extended all-rounder Justin Broad's contract through 2030, per BBC Sport. Broad, 26, is ruled out for the rest of 2026 with a lower back injury. Head coach Darren Lehmann called him "a very valued and important player across all formats" and a leader. Broad has over 2,000 runs since joining in 2023 and was named T20 vice-captain this year.
