Ashley Cole has left his role as England Under-21 coach after five years on staff, departing following back-to-back European Under-21 Championship triumphs under Lee Carsley. The 45-year-old, who won 107 England caps as a player, combined the post with assistant roles at Everton and Birmingham before a brief three-month stint as Cesena head coach ended in June.
