Newcastle sign 147 kg Argentina prop Moreno as 25th arrival of overhaul

Newcastle Red Bulls have signed Argentina tight-head prop Francisco Moreno, 24, on a one-year deal. The 147 kg front-rower made his Test debut against South Africa this month. He becomes Newcastle's 25th signing of an off-season rebuild prompted by a last-place Premiership finish with two wins. Twenty-six players left the club in May. Head coach Dan McFarland said Moreno "shows a lot of promise".
