Studio Massimo completes timber office on protected Dutch heath, clad in bark and planted with heather

Studio Massimo, an Amsterdam practice founded by Max Verhoeven, has completed Office in Nature on the Tafelberg heath in Blaricum, North Holland — a protected glacial-moraine landscape. The 1,120-square-metre laminated-timber building replaces a derelict events hall. Poplar-bark cladding and a roof planted with roughly 100 native heather species let the structure read as landscape rather than object, according to the firm.
