
Valladares to Direct Dante's Inferno Reimagining 'The Divine Comedy,' Cameras Roll in Rome 7 September
Chilean filmmaker Patricio Valladares will direct "The Divine Comedy," a fantasy-horror reimagining of Dante's "Inferno," with principal photography set to begin in Rome on 7 September (Variety, 25 August 2026). Dante, a grieving writer, and Virgil, a former priest, descend into hell searching for Dante's wife Beatrice. Italy's Anxur Films produces; Ireland's Skincrawl Studios handles international sales.
