Council rejects community asset bid for fields bordering Highgrove, leaving path open for housing

Cotswolds District Council rejected the Longfurlong Greenfields Association's application to register fields between Bath Road and Longfurlong Lane in Tetbury as a community asset, citing insufficient information on long-term management, maintenance and funding. The decision removes a legal obstacle to Miller Homes' planned development of up to 135 homes, including 56 affordable properties, on the boundary of King Charles's Highgrove estate.
