Xabi Alonso's first Premier League match as Chelsea manager ended in a 3-2 win at Craven Cottage, opening the 2026/27 season. Cole Palmer scored and set up Joao Pedro in a sold-out west London derby shown live on Sky. Fulham, managed by Alvaro Arbeloa, scored twice but fell short against Alonso's side.
