WildBrain acquires Personality AI to let children talk with animated characters in real time

WildBrain announced on August 24, 2026 a cash-and-stock acquisition of generative AI startup Personality AI, founded by John Goscha in 2025. The startup previously built interactive voice experiences for Amazon Kids+ and Hasbro's "Hey Peppa Pig." WildBrain's library includes Teletubbies and Strawberry Shortcake. The upfront price is US $11 million plus 1 million shares; earn-outs tied to 2027–2029 revenue could add up to US $56 million.
