
Sony Music sues Kroger over nearly 400 unlicensed song uses on social media, widening labels' crackdown on brands
Sony Music sued Kroger on August 21 over nearly 400 unlicensed recordings by Beyoncé, Harry Styles and Michael Jackson in TikTok and Instagram posts, Billboard reported. Sony says Kroger had previously licensed its music for ads. The suit follows similar actions against Marriott by Sony, Chili's by Universal and 14 NBA teams by Kobalt.
