Lil Durk murder-for-hire trial opens: prosecutors allege revenge plot over King Von's killing

Lil Durk's federal murder-for-hire trial opened on 24 August 2025 in Los Angeles. Prosecutor Daniel Weiner told jurors Durk became "consumed with revenge" after King Von's 2020 killing and paid OTF associates to "track, stalk, hunt and kill" Quando Rondo, offering a bounty. Rondo survived the 2022 shooting; Lul Pab was killed. Durk denies the charges.
