
Saudi Arabia Pledges $7 Billion for Three Theme Parks Near Paris
Saudi Arabia pledged €6 billion ($7 billion) to build three theme parks in Cergy-Pontoise, a Paris suburb, President Macron announced on 24 August 2026. The memorandum of understanding was signed during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's two-day visit. Saudi group Qiddiya will finance the project, projected to create 22,000 jobs. The pact is non-binding; contracts remain to be negotiated.
