California AG cancels Paramount settlement meeting; divestiture terms on hold

California AG Rob Bonta cancelled an August 24 settlement meeting with Paramount Skydance, accusing it of leaking and misrepresenting confidential talks. Bonta's office was prepared to demand Paramount sell some cable channels and keep its film studio separate from Warner Bros. to drop a 12-state antitrust suit blocking the merger.
