Turning 63 on 24 August 2026, Hideo Kojima wrote that he is aware he will not live forever. The things he "has to do" and "wants to do" keep increasing, he said, while the time to do them keeps decreasing. 2026 also marks his 40th year in games and the 10th anniversary of Kojima Productions.
