McInnes appeal could sideline him for first Old Firm as Rangers manager
Derek McInnes faces an appeal hearing on 31 August against a four-match touchline ban — one game suspended — that could force him to the stands for Rangers' League Cup quarter-final against Celtic on 13 September. The ban, issued in July, relates to McInnes calling a stoppage-time penalty awarded to Celtic "disgusting" while he was Hearts manager in May.
