Hastings banned for rest of regular season, leaving Saints without captain for play-off run

St Helens stand-off Jackson Hastings has been suspended for three matches after punching Castleford's Tyler Dupree in Friday's 28-6 win (BBC Sport, 24 Aug). Hastings was captaining Saints in place of injured hooker Matty Lees. The ban covers the final three regular-season fixtures — home to Leeds, away to Leigh and home to Hull KR — with St Helens roughly three points adrift of the Super League top six.
