Outlets linked an EastEnders character named Meghan to the Duchess of Sussex; the casting notice did not

BBC Studios issued a casting call for an EastEnders regular named Meghan — a fictional Hawkins family member, around 30. The Guardian, Digital Spy and The Independent then speculated about a Duchess of Sussex link. No such connection exists in the notice. The call closes 1 September 2026, per Variety.
