At the For the Love of Fantasy & Sci-Fi convention in London on 22–23 August 2026, Hayley Atwell called Captain Carter's death in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 'a bum steer and a complete disservice to the character.' She said she asked colleagues on set to change the scene and was told, 'Sure, but no.' She described the death: 'She gets frisbeed to death.'
