Dian Weys' 'Vultures' wins HollyShorts Grand Jury Prize, qualifying for Oscar consideration

Dian Weys' 15-minute short 'Vultures' won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Short Film at the 22nd HollyShorts Film Festival, held at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood. The award qualifies the film for Academy Award consideration and carries a $60,000 Panavision camera package. 'Vultures', starring Edwin van der Walt, also took Best International. It premiered at Cannes in 2025 (Deadline, 24 August 2026).
