Ravec, the Home Office unit that decides who receives armed police protection, completed a fresh risk assessment on Prince Harry in July. Its findings have not been shared with him. Harry lost his Court of Appeal challenge over UK security in April 2025. Officials must now make a fresh determination on his protection level before his expected UK return.
