Kane wins Golden Shoe and Germany's Footballer of the Year in trophy-laden week

Harry Kane received the 2026 Golden Shoe as Europe's top scorer last season, awarded on Wednesday. Days earlier, 695 German journalists voted him Germany's Footballer of the Year — the first Englishman to win the Kicker-organised prize — after 73 goals for club and country. Bayern then beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the German Super Cup.
