City spend €100m on 18-year-old Bouaddi to replace Rodri after Barcelona sale

Manchester City agreed a deal worth up to €100m with Lille for 18-year-old Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who was pulled from Lille's match against Angers to undergo a medical. The signing is funded largely by Rodri's £65m move to Barcelona days earlier; his contract was running down, making City reluctant sellers. Bouaddi, a No 6, started five of Morocco's six 2026 World Cup games.
