'Skintown' Wins £50,000 Sean Connery Prize at 2026 Edinburgh Film Festival

Kieron J. Walsh's "Skintown," set in Enniskillen during the 1994 IRA ceasefire, won the £50,000 Sean Connery Prize for Feature Filmmaking Excellence at the 2026 Edinburgh International Film Festival. Jack Rowan leads the cast; Ciarán McMenamin adapted his own 2018 novel. The prize money goes to the creative team for future work. A wide release date is unconfirmed.
