Swans fans walk out on men's game, stay for AFLW amid club scandal

Sydney Swans fans used the club's first AFLW-AFL double-header at the SCG on 23 August 2026 to protest the Pullman Hotel scandal. Some threatened to leave after the AFLW side played Essendon and skip the men's fixture. One supporter held a sign reading "I'm here for the AFLW."
