Country Manager Dale Morris Dies at 89

Dale Morris, the Nashville manager who guided Alabama to 33 Billboard Hot Country Songs number ones — the most by any duo or group — and helped build Kenny Chesney into one of country's highest-grossing touring acts, died on 21 August 2026 at 89. His representatives said he died peacefully in his sleep, with no cause given. Billboard reported the death on 22 August.
