Inter begin title defence with 4-1 win over Monza in Chivu's first game

Inter Milan launched their Serie A title defence on 22 August 2026 with a 4-1 win over Monza at San Siro. Calhanoglu and Zielinski struck either side of Varela's equaliser before 20-year-old youth product Pio Esposito and Yann Bisseck sealed it — a clean first outing for new head coach Cristian Chivu.
