Janie Bradford, co-writer of Motown's first hit 'Money (That's What I Want)', dies at 87

Janie Bradford, who co-wrote Motown's first hit single 'Money (That's What I Want)' with Berry Gordy in 1959 and served as the label's first receptionist, died on 21 August at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles following an extended illness. She was 87. Her family announced the death, Rolling Stone reported. Gordy said she was with him "before there was even a Motown."
