Daiquiri Bay wins £500,000 Ebor Handicap at York in photo finish

Daiquiri Bay, a four-year-old gelding trained by Alan King and ridden by Rossa Ryan, won the 2026 Ebor Handicap at York on 22 August. Europe's richest flat handicap, worth £500,000, went to a photo finish: George Boughey's Hopewell Rock (13-2) was second, William Haggas's Opportunity (14-1) third. Both are owned by Wathnan. Pre-race favourite Love Me Tender finished tenth.
