Hull City beat Manchester United for first time in 52 years

Hull City, promoted last season, beat Manchester United 2-0 in the Premier League on 22 August 2026. Semi Ajayi opened the scoring and debutant Nobel Mendy headed a second from Regan Slater's free-kick. It was Hull's first league win over United since 1974. Michael Carrick, permanently appointed after replacing Ruben Amorim, could find no response.
